Whistler is a scenic place, but it’s not the only reason people love to go there. The cool weather and the variety of outdoor activities make this a perfect destination for an adventurous person. The winter scenery in Whistler is breathtaking so a helicopter experience with Blackcomb Helicopters should be on everyone’s list.
Viney and David wanted to capture a helicopter experience on video. They knew the kind of scenery they were about to see is something they wanted to be able to watch again and again, hence why Viney reached out to me about capturing a helicopter tour with Blackcomb Helicopters.
We were glad that the weather meant we could take off in the morning. We headed up to what was supposed to be a Rainbow Glacier landing, but unfortunately, the cloud cover obstructed the landing space. I definitely think this was the better outcome, as the pilot flew over the beautiful mountains of Whistler, leading us to land at Marriage Lake. Frozen at this time of year, we stepped out into a winter wonderland with a large open frozen lake, surrounded by scaling mountains. British Columbia is for sure beautiful! I sent up the drone to capture the cascading mountains and Viney and David in the middle of the lake.
